The Simpsons Take On Frozen! Family Channels Anna, Elsa And The Rest Of The Gang In A Holiday Couch Gag [Video]

The Simpsons recently took on the world of Disney's "Frozen" where the Simpsons Frozen gag was played before the holiday episode.

In a report by Variety, the Simpsons' "Frozen" gag has the comedy cartoon series channeled the highly popular film through the Christmas episode entitled "I Won't Be Home For Christmas".

The opening credits, which featured the various Simpsons characters getting engaged in different holiday activities in their snowy town, were presented first.

Bart exchanged his skateboard for a snowboard, Lisa was in a choir playing Christmas songs, Maggie was wrapped in a gift box, Homer was riding a snowmobile and Otto lit a candy cane bong as Christmas music with the original theme tune played in the background. The entire family also  had elf ears one.

One part of the gag even gave reference to the Snow Queen of the world of Narnia riding on a sleigh. The caption "Obligatory 'Frozen' Reference" appeared, a minute and fifteen seconds later.

The Simpsons' "Frozen" gag saw Lisa with her hair fixed in the same style as Queen Elsa. She sat on an iced pond on an iced couch in front of an iced television. After Bart throws her a snowball, Lisa looked annoyed then suddenly uses her Elsa-like winter powers to create a giant ice castle that rises from the bottom of the ice pond. Bart is stuck at the tip of the castle as it continues to go high up into the sky. Bart then exclaimed, "Ay! Caramba!"

Based on The Hollywood Reporter's take, Homer entered the scene where he was spotted at the foot of the ice castle, in what the audience may assume as a personification of Olaf. He then eats his own carrot nose. After taking a bite off the vegetable, he said, "Oh! Carrot!" then throws it on the ground.

The clip ended as usual with series creator Matt Groening's name.

The entire opening credits and "Frozen" reference lasted only for one minute and 44 seconds.

Disney's "Frozen" has become a hot topic for various comedy shows. The Simpsons' "Frozen" reference is the latest on television following other shows like "Once Upon a Time" and "Glee".
