Avril Lavigne Admits She's Sick Amid Divorce Rumors With Chad Kroeger; 'Complicated' Singer Asks For Prayers

Avril Lavigne admitted to being sick amid the divorce rumors surrounding her marriage to Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger. The "Complicated" singer then asked her fans for prayers for her recovery.

In a piece from MailOnline, Avril Lavigne wrote on AvrilMusicChart to send a message to her fans.

"I feel bad because I haven't been able to say anything to the fans to let them no why I've been absent," she said. "I'm not feeling well. I'm having some health issues. So please keep me in your prayers. (sic)"

Avril Lavigne, however, did not specify what kind of health condition she's suffering, nor did she address the persistent rumors about their marriage troubles.

However, Chad Kroeger addressed divorce rumors with Avril Lavigne in an interview with Entertainment Online Canada.

"You know my dad calls me up and he's just like, 'I haven't slept in 2 days, what's going on?'" he said. "I'm like, 'Dad you're not buying all this crap are you?' You know, I get to hear all the rumour mill stuff. I find it very amusing."

Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger said being married to a celebrity like Avril Lavigne comes with the perils of dealing with rumors. "That's high school multiplied exponentially. It's ridiculous. How many times has Jennifer Aniston been pregnant this year? A dozen?"

"Let's start a new rumour. I'm pregnant," he quipped.

Meanwhile, a source told E! News that their marriage is not as smooth as anyone would like.

However, it doesn't mean that Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger are headed for divorce, according to a source.

"Things still aren't good. But Avril's friends are encouraging her to try and work it out. They don't like Chad, but she's already been through one painful divorce and they don't want to see her going through another unless there's no other option," the insider told the website.
