Kate Hudson’s Dad Blames Himself For Matt Bellamy Break Up And His Daughter’s ‘Wandering Eye’ Around Derek Hough?

Kate Hudson's dad blames himself for his daughter's break up with her fiance and Muse frontman Matty Bellamy. But he also says that Kate Hudson has a "wandering eye," fueling speculation that the actress is linked to "DWTS" choreographer Derek Hough.

According to The Stir, Kate Hudson's dad Bill reportedly said, "She has a wandering eye, just like her mother."

Bill Hudson told Britain's Mail on Sunday newspaper, "What people don't realize is that behind the glitz and the glamour of fame and stardom is a darker reality... when you are in a bubble - and Kate's been in a bubble her whole life as the daughter of a celebrity and now a celebrity herself - it is much harder to sustain a long-term relationship.

"To be a star, by it's very definition, you have to be selfish. To sustain her level of fame Kate has to put herself first, and that isn't the recipe for successful romance..."

But then Bill admits he feels guilty for Kate's failed relationships.

"I take full responsibility for the fact that my actions when she was a girl helped contribute to the problems she has had forming lasting bonds today. I feel tremendous guilt," he said.

"I truly believe her inability to sustain a long-term relationship is my fault. A father is supposed to always be there for you. How can you trust any man when your father abandoned you? I failed her."

Bill and Kate have not spoken since 2007. Bill remarried and started a new family with another woman when Kate was a teenager. She and her brother Oliver were raised by their mother Goldie Hawn and her long-term partner Kurt Russell. Kate has previously said she considers Russell her real father.

The "wandering eye" comment fuels speculation that Kate Hudson and "Dancing With the Stars" pro dancer Derek Hough are now dating. Kate and Derek were spotted at the Nice Guy Restaurant in Los Angeles, during which sources told Us Weekly that they "ate dinner, drank, and stayed past closing."
