'NCIS' Season 12 Spoilers: 'Star Trek' Actress Is Gibbs Ex-Wife; Cast Sean Murray Teases Return Of McGee's Delilah

"NCIS" season 12 spoilers reveal that "Star Trek" actress Jeri Ryan will show up as Gibbs ex-wife as cast Sean Murray teased the return of McGee's Delilah.

According to Cartermatt, there's not much detail on Gibbs' former wife.

"Basically, the only thing that we know about this character for the time being is that she is a redhead, and that is not exactly a whole lot of information to go on," it said. "The mystery here is a part of what makes this story fun."

The synopsis offered spoilers for "NCIS" season 12 as it reads: "The NCIS team must investigate a series of crime scenes that appear to be copy-cats of previous cases. Also, two of Gibbs' ex-wives, one of which the team has yet to meet, show up at a crime scene to discuss something important with him, on NCIS, Tuesday, Jan. 6 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT), on the CBS Television Network. Jeri Ryan guest stars as Gibbs' second ex-wife."

Meanwhile, Sean Murray told TVGuide that he's optimistic about the return of Delilah to resume the romance with McGee. The "NCIS" season 12 storyline has placed Delilah in Dubai, where she is currently working.

"I'm sure we're going to see more of her. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see her this season," he said. "I like [McGee] and Delilah together. ... It's fun and I think it's a side of McGee we don't get to see very often. Usually the only love life he's got is what's going on with Abby that week."

In "House Rules," fans get to find a reason to like McGee even more particularly with his backstory and the death of his father. That's all the more reason to wish him a happy ending in the arms of Delilah.
