Ryan Gosling, Eva Mendes' Baby Not Enough Reason To Stay Together? New Parents Now Spends Time Apart

Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes' baby is allegedly not enough for the couple to stay together as the first-time parents are reported to be spending their time apart.

An article from OK! Magazine revealed that the couple is undergoing more than the stress that is associated with having a newborn baby as Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes are getting more and more distant.

"It's more than just run-of-the-mill stress that comes with having a newborn. They're barely talking. Eva has pushed him away," the source said.

For example, while Ryan Gosling was filming "The Nice Guys" in Georgia, Eva Mendes was at their home in Los Angeles taking care of the baby.

"So instead of coming home every night to them, he's jetting back and forth just so he can see his daughter," the source added.

"The last time Ryan was in LA, he told her that she and Esmeralda needed to get outside for some fresh air, but she just wouldn't listen," the source added.

According to Yahoo! Eva Mendes has become some sort of a hermit after giving birth to her baby in November.

However, the article noted that "she might just be busy seeing as she refused to hire a nanny to help share the workload a newborn creates."

The Yahoo! article added that if they will indeed split, Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling could be fighting over the custody of the baby. As things stand, the 40-year-old actress will get custody because the 34-year-old actor "has been absent since their daughter's birth."

"Eva has been the primary, hands-on parent with Ryan away working so much, so she believes full custody is warranted," the source added.

When she was the guest on Ellen DeGeneres Show on December 3, Evan Mendes talked about her and Ryan Gosling's adjustment with the arriva of the baby.

"You know we're getting the hang of it, the sleeping thing, but yeah I'm exhausted and it's the best...Really, I'm so incredibly tired. I thought I was tired before at times, but no. Nothing like this, but I wouldn't have it any other way," she added.
