''Castle' Season 7 Episode 11 Spoilers: Nathan Fillion's Rick Competes With Stana Katic's Beckett To Solve Case As He Becomes P.I.

Nathan Fillion's Rick will compete with Stana Katic's Beckett as he tries to carve a new career as a private investigator, according to the latest "Castle" season 7, episode 11 spoilers.

Before the mid-season break, fans saw Rick Castle being kicked out of the NYPD after his close association with the mob was raised.

Showrunner David Amann earlier told TVGuide that throwing another wrinkle into the Castle and Beckett relationship will allow them to write the story better going forward.

" We thought it would give us some opportunities to upset the apple cart a little bit in terms of the Castle-Beckett professional relationship," he said. "We were looking for an interesting way to have Castle get into trouble. He kind of operated outside the lines in Episode 10, so we felt that like it was justified that he would be punished for that."

More "Castle" seaspn 7 episode 11 spoilers reveal that just when everybody at the precinct was getting used to his absence, it was revealed that Castle will find another way to spend more hours with the team, this time as a private investigator.

The synopsis offered some spoilers for "Castle" season 7 episode 11 as it reads: "After being forbidden to work with Kate Beckett or the 12th Precinct, Castle obtains a P.I. license and shows up unannounced at Beckett's crime scene, hoping to investigate alongside her as a private eye. But things don't go as Castle had planned."

Cartermatt said the episode offers a good opportunity for a side story.

"One story that would be interesting to see play out here is how Castle handles all aspects of the business, and still find time to write," it said. "One of the lucky things about his typical job is not having to deal with most of the outside responsibilities of it."
