Divorce With Mariah Carey Inspires Nick Cannon's New Album? Pop Diva Drowns Woes In Shopping Spree

Nick Cannon denied the rumors that his divorce with Mariah Carey has inspired a new album. Meanwhile, the pop diva went into shop therapy in Aspen Colorado over the weekend.

The rumors started when producer Mally Mall talked to TMZ and revealed that he's doing a new album with Nick Cannon next year and some of the songs will dish on the divorce with Mariah Carey.

"The mega hip-hop producer first made it sound like Nick played nice in describing his relationship, but then he half took it back and said Nick's comments will be 'controversial,'" the report said. "From all we've heard, Nick's trying to put a good face on his current relationship with Mariah, making it appear they're getting along much better as friends than as husband and wife."

But Nick Cannon took to Twitter to deny the report as he wrote: "I am always an open book but Personal matters are just that 'Personal.' So please respect my family and respect the process."

Nick Cannon then added that if there's an album, he would never say negative about Mariah Carey despite their divorce.

"I have no problem being painted as the bad guy. I got tough skin. Keep going! I just pray we ALL can move forward in the new year," he added.

Speaking of Mariah Carey, she seemed to have drowned all her divorce woes by shopping for a very expensive bag, in addition to a scarf from a luxury brand, in Aspen, Colorado.

According to MailOnline  it has been a family tradition for pop diva Mariah Carey and DJ/host Nick Cannon to spend Christmas in Aspen and this time she's fying solo following the divorce proceedings. "The singer clearly couldn't wait to show off her purchases as she left the shop top to toe in the famous designer brand," the report said.
