'Arrow' Season 3 Spoilers: Stephen Amell's Oliver Queen Not Dead? 'Left Behind' Tackles His 'Disappearance

"Arrow" season 3 spoilers, which aren't much of a surprise, reveal that Oliver Queen survived the fall and what seemed like a mortal wound at the end of the midseason break. The episode "Left Behind" will tackle his disappearance.

The official synopsis for "Left Behind" in "Arrow" season 3 teased plenty of spoilers as it reads: "In the aftermath of Oliver's (Stephen Amell) fight with Ra's al Ghul (Matt Nable), Diggle (David Ramsey) and Arsenal (Colton Haynes) continue to protect the city in the Arrow's absence."

"However, after three days without hearing from Oliver, they begin to fear the worst may have happened to their friend. Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) refuses to believe that Oliver could be dead until Merlyn (John Barrowman) pays the team a surprise visit. Thea (Willa Holland) suspects there is something more behind Oliver's disappearance and asks Merlyn for a favor."

Meanwhile, Ray (Brandon Routh) tests a part of his new suit and Laurel (Katie Cassidy) takes up the mantle of the Black Canary.

At the finale episode of "Arrow" season 3 prior to the winter break, Oliver Queen and Ra's al Ghul had a duel which the Arrow lost when the villain stabbed him with a sword before kicking him onto a cliff.

"Arrow" 3 spoilers claim that when the show returns, another character will be introduced in the name of General Matthew Shrieve, played by Marc Singer.

"For those who do not know, General Shrieve is the titular leader of the DC Universe's Creature Commandos," said Movie News Guide. "He is set to make his debut appearance during the 14th episode of the season in one of Oliver Queen's Hong Kong flashbacks."

That particular episode would be very interesting as it was reported that Slade Wilson will make an appearance, but it could be in a form of a flashback.

The "Left Behind" episode is helmed by Glen Winter and written by showrunner Marc Guggenheim and Erik Oleson.

Watch out for more "Arrow" season 3 spoilers as the show returns on CW on January 21.
