'The Vampire Diaries' Stars Nina Dobrev And Ian Somerhalder Still Feuding Although Actress Is Now 'Dating' Mark Foster?

"The Vampire Diaries" stars Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder are allegedly openly feuding on set even if the actress is reportedly dating Mark Foster while he is dating the recently divorced Nikki Reed.

In an article from Celebrity Dirty Laundry, the writers reportedly tried to keep the former lovers away from each other as much as they can by writing minimal romantic scenes.

"They've kept things civilized and refused to create a fuss on-set [at least, in the mainstream media's eyes] after their breakup, but our sources have told us that things still remain awkward between them and downright hostile on 'The Vampire Diaries' set," it said.

The tabloid also alleged that when Nina Dobrev's boyfriend Mark Foster entered the picture, things got even more heated. Mark Foster is a friend of Ian Somerhalder, just like his girlfriend Nikki Reed was the friend of Nina Dobrev.

"Whereas Nina and Ian just used to avoid each other before, there is supposedly open hostility between them. Nina supposedly thinks that Ian's PDA with Nikki was extremely tacky, especially when they first began dating. And Ian? Well, he's still bitter about their breakup, even if he pretends not to be, but he's also supposedly quite judgy about Nina's dating life," it added.

Inquisitr claimed that Nina Dobrev's "relationship with Mark Foster could mean trouble for the show if Somerhalder gets upset about his friend dating his ex-girlfriend."

"Maybe one day in the future Nina and Ian can get back to being friends, but as for now, it seems it may be important for them to maintain a professional relationship - and nothing more," the website added.

But Nina Dobrev is also rumored to be dating "The Vampire Diaries" co-star Chris Wood, who was a long-time friend, before they became romantic which makes it even more awkward for Ian Somerhalder.
