Tracy Morgan Condition Update: Tina Fey Positive Of '30 Rock' Actor's Recovery; Comedian Raring To Work Again?

Comedian Tina Fey dished the latest update on Tracy Morgan's condition as she's optimistic that the "30 Rock" actor will make a full recovery, particularly since he's raring to work again.

During the promotion of the "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt," which will air on Netflix, Tina Fey said that Tracy Morgan has told her that he wants to be on the show when he gets better.

"And I said, 'you got it," she said, per E! News.

"I saw Tracy. I went and visited him before the holidays. He's doing good. He's got a long road ahead of him, but he's going to get there," Tina Fey said of Tracy Morgan's condition.

The comedian broke his leg and ribs, as well as sustaining traumatic brain injuries, when the van he was riding was rear-ended by a Wal-Mart truck along the New Jersey Turnpike. Tracy Morgan's assistant, Jeffrey Millea, and comedian Ardie Fuqua Jr. were also injured in the crash.

But Wal-Mart blamed the comedian and his entourage for their own injuries.

According to the filing, Tracy Morgan and his companions, including comic James McNair who died in the crash, were injured due to their "failure to properly wear an appropriate available seatbelt restraint device."

The lawyers said this is in violation of the law and had they been wearing seatbelts, "all or a portion of the injuries could have been diminished or minimized."

News updates from the family regarding the condition of Tracy Morgan have been very rare. Lawyer Benedict Morelli told reporters late last year, "Mr. Morgan is a fighter. He's fighting to get better. And if there's a chance for him to be back to the Tracy Morgan he once was, he's going to try to do that. But we just don't know because of the severity of the injuries that he sustained and the fact that he had such a severe brain injury."
