'Prometheus 2' News: 2016 Release Date Still Vague? Sequel Spoilers Continue To Plague Internet

News reports about "Prometheus 2" release date remain vague even as Ridley Scott earlier claimed that the script is already finished. Meanwhile, spoilers and rumors continue to plague the sequel.

Inquistr said that news reports surrounding the sequel are limited to rumors and speculations.

"Fans will just have to wait both to see how the events of the sequel unfold, and when the ties to the original 'Alien' film will revealed," it said. "At this point, though, production of the 'Prometheus' sequel is expected to take place in 2015 with a 2016 release date."

Late last year, Ridley Scott teased "Prometheus 2" news to MTV when he said that David will get back his head with the help of Elizabeth Shaw.

When he was asked whether the sequel will still revolve around Elizabeth Shaw and David, Ridley Scott offered some spoilers, "You have to," he said. "You can't have a person go off into the galaxy and have a person who still got his head off."

"Once that head goes back on, [David] is really dangerous," said Scott, when asked for details about Prometheus 2's plot, "but he's also very seductive. So maybe he'll persuade [Shaw] to help him put the head back."

Ridley Scott also said that the script to "Prometheus 2" is already finished. As to the plot, he said the sequel is very relevant to the first one.

"I'm not just doing a sequel with lots of action and see how further we can go with special effects. We kind of landed on somehow very credible future. It's very difficult to change that because it's been so influential with everything else."

In terms of casting, most news reports only identified Michael Fassbender and Noomi Rapace as confirmed to be coming back for "Prometheus 2."
