Dakota Johnson Follows Mom Melanie Griffith's Lead? 'Fifty Shades Of Grey' Actress Cute In TBT Photo As She Bags Another Prime Role

Dakota Johnson seems to adore her mother Melanie Griffith so much to the point of sporting a similar tattoo on her arm. The "Fifty Shades of Grey" actress looked cute in a throwback photo as she inks another good role in a movie based on William Shakespeare's play.

The Us Weekly published the photo of Melanie Griffith and a very young Dakota Johnson showing off their respective inks for a photo.

"Long before Fifty Shades of Grey, Dakota Johnson wanted to be just like her famous mom Melanie Griffith, as evidenced in a new photo posted to Griffith's Instagram on Tuesday, Jan. 13," it said.

Melanie Griffith captioned the Instagram image: "Me and Dakota sporting tatoo' circa 1993."

"Griffith wears a knitted blue sweater which she pulls down over her left shoulder to reveal a heart tattoo. Her look-alike daughter - then blonde-haired and blue-eyed - looks over her shoulder on the right side and proudly flaunts her makeshift tattoo stamped on her upper arm," the magazine said.

Meanwhile, "Fifty Shades of Grey" actress Dakota Johnson will play Imogen in William Shakespeare's "Cymbeline" opposite Ethan Hawke and Ed Harris.

"'Fifty Shades of Grey' star Dakota Johnson is swapping x-rated bedroom behaviour with Jamie Dornan's Christian Grey for crime and corruption in a big screen adaptation of Shakespeare's 'Cymbeline,'" said a report by the Radio Times.

The synopsis for the film reads: "Academy Award® nominees Ethan Hawke (Best Supporting Actor, Training Day, 2001) and Ed Harris (Best Actor, Pollock, 2000) lead a powerhouse cast including Milla Jovovich, John Leguizamo, Penn Badgley, Dakota Johnson, Anton Yelchin, with Bill Pullman, and Delroy Lindo in a gritty story of a take-no-prisoners war between dirty cops and an outlaw biker gang. Now, a drug kingpin (Harris) is driven to desperate measures in this explosive film based on Shakespeare's 'Cymbeline.'"

Earlier, Dakota Johnson said in an interview that she forbade her mother, Melanie Griffith, from seeing the film "Fifty Shades of Grey," which will be released on Valentine's Day. The ex-wife of Antonio Banderas said that she will abide by her daughter's wish.
