Kate Upton's Take On Athena In 'Game Of War: Fire Age' Under Fire? People's Sexiest Woman Alive Causes Stir With Justin Verlander Proposal Joke

Kate Upton's take on Athena in the "Game of War: Fire Age" ad came under fire as People's Sexiest Woman Alive caused a stir with the joke about Justin Verlander proposing.

In a report by NeoKosmos, the game developers allegedly spent $40 million on the game, including what is assumed to be a handsome professional fee for Kate Upton as Greek goddess Athena.

"'Game of War: Fire Age' allows the user to play and chat with millions of other online players from around the world in 32 different languages in real time," it said. "The players will also be able to 'use' the sexy model as a host avatar within the game."

Not counting the fact that dragons are not part of Greek mythology, there's also People's Sexiest Woman Alive's own version of Athena.

"The only problem is, Greeks as well as several historians across the globe seem to be a tiny bit offended by the blonde bombshell's take on their most wise, assertive, virgin and non-provocative goddess," it said.

Meanwhile, Kate Upton immediately deleted a social media post hinting that Justin Verlander proposed to her.

"Kate Upton briefly caused a social-media frenzy Thursday night when she posted a picture on Instagram to indicate that Detroit Tigers pitcher/boyfriend Justin Verlander had proposed to her," said Fox Sports. "The whole thing was a joke and Upton had to delete the picture (which you can see here) because people didn't realize she was kidding. Well played, Kate."

In a previous report from Classical Lite, Kate Upton reportedly rejected Justin Verlander's marriage proposal but not because People's Sexiest Woman Alive doesn't love him.

"The buxom blonde bombshell simply explained that she was focusing on building her career and net worth during this stage of her life -- not getting engaged or settling down," it said.
