Mariah Carey, Nick Cannon Divorce: Diva's Impending Las Vegas Residency Not Part Of Settlement

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon's divorce proceedings are getting ugly as it was reported that the diva's impending Las Vegas residency isn't part of the settlement.

In a report from TMZ, the prenup of the estranged couple has a confidentiality clause and it's in favor of "America's Got Talent" host.

"Sources familiar with the situation tell TMZ ... if Nick violates the confidentiality clause he has to pay her a $250,000 penalty, but if she spills the beans she has to pay him $500K," it said.

"The prenup says Mariah is worth $150 million ... she has so much, $30 million is listed as "miscellaneous." Nick came into the marriage in 2008 with a little less than $500K," the report added.

In fact, he took out a loan for $470,000 in order to buy her an engagement ring worth half a million.

To be fair, Nick Cannon has made a career for himself "making millions on his various projects."

The latest reports alleged that it was Nick Cannon who initiated the divorce with Mariah Carey as he filed the papers on Dec. 12.

In another report by TMZ, Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey already agreed to the settlement terms as part of the divorce proceedings but the terms won't include profits from her Las Vegas residency.

Although there are no details yet on her contract with the Caesars Palace for the residency, TMZ said that Britney Spears has been getting $475,000 a show and it would be an easy bet that Mariah Carey wouldn't take less than that.

During the lighting ceremony for the Rockefeller, Mariah Carey showed up three hours late reportedly because she was on the phone discussing the divorce from Nick Young with her lawyers. The singing diva supposedly was talking settlement terms, which predicted a huge payday for the "America's Got Talent" host and DJ.
