‘Harry Potter’ Cast Tom Felton Joins Pottermore Only To Receive ‘Heartbreaking’ Surprise

"Harry Potter" cast Tom Felton may be Slytherin's resident antagonist but Pottermore thinks otherwise. Last Wednesday night, Felton, who plays Draco Malfoy in the well-loved series, joined the official Harry Potter website. He was left stunned when he got sorted into Gryffindor!

The Pottermore website has its own game, which sorts fans into one of four houses - Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw, and Hufflepuff. Each fan has to answer a series of questions, which will then determine their house.

"Harry Potter" cast Tom Felton claims he is "heartbroken" after being sorted into his rival's house. After all, Draco became famous for his stealthy and ruthless moves.

On Twitter, Felton ranted: "Today was the day. I finally did it. I joined Pottermore and was sorted into........Gryffindor. Heart broken x #slytherinforlife"

However, it appears that J.K. Rowling did not get surprised that Felton got sorted into Gryffindor. Perhaps she believes that Tom Felton is the counterpart of his sneaky character.

The famous author responded to Tom Felton's rant with: "I could've told you that years ago. I just didn't want to spoil your motivation ;)"

Fans are now wondering if the other members of the "Harry Potter" cast will be sorted into their characters' houses. Emma Watson, for example, might be a part of Helga Hufflepuff's house because of the Brit beauty's high regard for academics.

Even if the "Harry Potter" series ended several years ago, Felton still makes sure to reconnect with his fellow artists. Recently, as per Inquisitr, the "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" actor played a prank on Rupert Grint, also known as Ron Weasley.

Grint, who stars in a Broadway production "It's Only a Play," got surprised when his pal waited for him and pretended to be a Harry Potter fan.

"Tom was in disguise to pull a prank on Rupert. The pair have a long history of playing pranks on each other on the set and off. Eventually Tom revealed himself to Rupert. It was hilarious," claimed the source to the publication.
