Lil Wayne, Birdman's Feud Goes To Court? Settlement Not Reached As $8 Million Is On The Line

Lil Wayne and Birdman's feud has escalated into a full-blown legal issue with $8 million on the line, as they reportedly failed to reach a settlement.

In a report from TMZ, talks have broken from their respective camps which means that Weezy will file a lawsuit against his former mentor.

"The 2 titans tried coming to terms this week but it wasn't meant to be," said the report. "Now Wayne will ask a judge to declare him free of Cash Money and Birdman's control. Wayne says Birdman has violated their contract by withholding the release of his new album."

Lil Wayne's feud with Birdman also runs deeper than the delay in the release of "Tha Carter V" because the music producer also allegedly owes Christina Milian's rumored boyfriend $8 million.

"Birdman has held firm ... he will release the album 'in due time, but clearly that's not good enough for Wayne," it said.

Lil Wayne will also continue to release his music outside of Cash Money's label.

Christina Milian's rumored boyfriend released the remix "Sh!t" where he appeared to explain his feud with the Birdman, said MStarz.

In December last year, Lil Wayne sent out a series of tweets addressing his feud with Birdman who allegedly delayed the release of "Tha Carter V," which was originally scheduled to be released on October 28, 2014.

"To all my fans, I want u to know that my album won't and hasn't been released bekuz Baby & Cash Money Rec. refuse to release it," he wrote. "This is not my fault. I am truly and deeply sorry to all my fans but most of all to myself and my family for putting us in this situation."

Lil Wayne added, "I want off this label and nothing to do with these people but unfortunately it ain't that easy."
