'The Mentalist' Season 7 Episode 9 Spoilers: Patrick Jane Comes To Abbott's Rescue; Relationship With Lisbon In Jeopardy?

"The Mentalist" season 7, episode 9 spoilers reveal that Patrick Jane will come to Abbott's rescue who's being threatened by Agent Peterson. Meanwhile, in an earlier interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Rockmond Dunbar said that the Rio Bravo incident only drew his character Abbott closer to Jane.

"It will continue to evolve and build upon the choices and decisions that have been made in the past," he said. "It unfolds beautifully - I really don't want to give it up too much because it is a little bit of a surprise."

Rockmond Dunbar also teased spoilers for "The Mentalist" season 7 finale where everything is going to tie up in a "really loose" bow.

"It's one of those things where like, 'Wait a minute, The Mentalist could come back.' Of course, I doubt that it will, but there's definitely that glimmer of hope for some of the fans and for myself as well," he explained.

"The Mentalist" season 7, episode 9 spoilers can be gleaned from the synopsis which reads: "Jane is going to devise a risky plan to save Abbott's career ... When Abbott's old boss, Agent Peterson, threatens Abbott's career -and possibly his freedom, Jane will devise a risky plan to protect his friend's future."

Guest stars for "The Mentalist" season 7 episode 9 entitled "Copper Bullet" include Shenik Taylor (Stacey), Cheryl Lynn Bowers (Missy), Braden Lynch (Legislative Aide) and Stephan Jared (Cop). The episode was written by Tom Donaghy, and it was directed by Tom Snyder, said Hollywood Hills.

Meanwhile, it's not clear how Patrick Jane's decision to send Teresa Lisbon on a wild goose chase in an attempt to protect her will affect their relationship. Lisbon was naturally angry and it seems she's not ready to forgive her boyfriend.
