Eva Mendes And Ryan Gosling Quash Split Rumors, But Are Exhausted With Baby Esmeralda And No Nanny [PHOTO]

Rumors of rifts in the relationship of Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes have been all over the place recently - it's hard to pinpoint the truth. Inquisitr reports that Mendes may be suffering from postpartum depression since the birth of her daughter Esmeralda Amanda in September. However, People Magazine reports that Gosling and Mendes are "very happy and relaxed together."

One thing is certain - the stunning star duo is extremely busy. Gosling has been flying back and forth between Los Angeles and Atlanta to shoot his upcoming film, "The Nice Guys." In the meantime, Mendes is busy with baby Esmeralda. She and Gosling have not talked about their daughter nor shown pictures of her, and Mendes has currently forgone getting a nanny so that her daughter's life can be as private as possible.

She stated of her experiences, "I thought my wild nights were over, but these are some of the wildest nights I've ever had. Just knowing that I'm not alone out there and that other moms have gone through the same thing can at least get me through the night. I'm doing it without a nanny for now but I'm open to the idea of having a nanny in the future...

For me that part of being a mother at this early stage is the struggle of not being able to sleep and not knowing what I'm doing and really going through it with her and battling out those nights."

Daddy duty is important, too. Reportedly, Gosling loves singing to his little girl. A source stated, "[The baby] is smiling and cooing and loves when Ryan sings to her... [Ryan] loves it. Sometimes he'll make up his own songs and include her name in them. It's very sweet."

Though parenthood may be stressing Mendes and Gosling out, they are taking it one step at a time. However, it looks like baby Esmeralda's life will continue to be made largely private. Mendes stated, "Whether we like it or not, privacy is going to be very difficult for Esmeralda. I think it's unfair, but that's our reality...

Ryan and I decided early on to give her as much privacy as we could. And my pregnancy was the first opportunity to give her that ... I find the media's 'bump watch' obsession to be both intrusive and stressful. So I made a decision to eject myself from it completely. I was like, 'Annnnd I'm out.'"
