Brad Pitt And Angelina Jolie Prepare To Adopt Syrian Boy; UN Ambassador Calls Against Sexual Violence Among Marginalized Sectors

A-list couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are reportedly preparing to adopt a Syrian boy. Meanwhile, the UN ambassador called on religious leaders to push the action against sexual violence among marginalized groups.

According to Christian Today, Hollywood couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are set tp welcome an addition to their growing family as they will adopt two-year-old Syrian boy named Moussa.

The 39-year-old "Salt" star Angelina Jolie met the child during one of her trips to the war-stricken country as the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees ambassador, Celebrity Dirty Laundry said.

A charity worker who was not named reportedly said, "Angelina heard about him from a translator and she was obviously upset, but Moussa was just beaming from ear to ear and when he saw she was wiping tears from her eyes he toddled up to her and gave her a hug and it was a very emotional moment and everyone was suddenly laughing and smiling."

The charity worker also told Woman's Day, "She kissed him on the top of his head and then they were basically inseparable for the rest of the visit."

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have adopted three children-13 year old Maddox from Cambodia, Pax, 11 years old from Vietnam, and 10 year old Zahara, from Ethiopia.

The couple has three biological children named Shiloh, 8 years old and twins Knox and Vivienne, six years old.

Meanwhile, the UN ambassador called on the religious leaders to take action on the looming problems of Iraqi refugees who are suffering from sexual violence.

Angelina Jolie wrote an editorial opinion for New York Times entitled "A New Level of Refugee Suffering," where she relayed her experiences during her visits to the torn country and her observance of their plight due to the terrorism of the Islamic State.

"I have visited Iraq five times since 2007, and I have seen nothing like the suffering I'm witnessing now," she said.

She continued, "For many years I have visited camps, and every time, I sit in a tent and hear stories. I try my best to give support. To say something that will show solidarity and give some kind of thoughtful guidance."

She said that she was "speechless" as she saw how marginalized groups suffer from sexual violence which religious leaders must condemn.

She said, "Our most powerful assets are not our armies. They are our values. As faith leaders you are advocates for the values of compassion, tolerance, justice and reconciliation."
