‘Here Comes Honey Boo Boo’ Alana Thompson Asked By Doctors To Lose Weight; Mama June Deemed ‘Irresponsible’ By Fans

Even if she's currently not filming for a reality show, doctors are urging "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" star Alana Thompson to lose weight because the nine-year-old is at risk for developing health complications such as stroke and diabetes.

The advice of the physicians is from the show "The Doctors."

Dr. Travis Stork, including other doctors, said that "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" star Alana Thompson is overweight by 65 pounds. In the episode, the reality show star confessed that her eating habits consisted of many "deep fried" stuff and that her favorite was "deep fried Oreos."

Dr. Stork went on to describe the contents of the family's refrigerator to Mama June.

"I'm sorry but I didn't see anything in that fridge that's going to either improve Alana's weight or decrease inflammation in her body."

At the end of the show, the team developed an intervention program for the child and also gave her a bicycle as a tool for exercise. The show likewise got her a nutritionist near the family's new abode in Georgia.

In 2009, Mama June Shannon was slammed for making Honey Boo Boo drink a combination of Mountain Dew and Red Bull in an attempt to boost the child's energy before pageants. Back then, the family did not have their own reality show yet and Honey Boo Boo was only appearing on TLC's "Toddlers and Tiaras."

In 2012, the spin-off "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" was released only to be cancelled last year because of Mama June's questionable relationship with a registered sex offender.

Mama June is allegedly distraught after the cancellation because all her efforts went down the drain. Previously, it was rumored that she kept on telling her daughter to remain overweight because they might lose the show.

Even if she's criticized by many, Mama June says that she's contented with who she is. In a statement on her social media account, she said:

"I'm happy with who I am. If I lose more weight, that's fine. If I don't, that's fine also. I'm happy with myself. If you don't like me, you don't like me, and you don't have to look at me."
