'Insurgent' Cast Theo James, Shailene Woodley Reveal Physical Preparation For Movie; Details On Actor's Life Revealed

Theo James and Shailene Woodley were visited in their movie set by "The Today Show" where they revealed their physical preparation for the more action-packed film "Insurgent." Meanwhile, despite the actor being famously private, some details of his life has been revealed.

"She's in a fight or flight situation, she's going to fight no matter if she survives or not," Shailene Woodley told Today.

"We start of really were we left off, and it's all systems go from there," Theo James added.

Both Shailene Woodley and Theo James reportedly were pounding at the gym for "Insurgent."

"We had to go get back to the gym," the actor said, recounting how they had to prepare physically for their roles. "You do other things in between and the characters ... changed physically so you have to get back in shape."

Shailene Woodley added, "It is a young adult novel, but the movies reach an audience that's far beyond just the young adult demographic."

"I think that there's an essence of something that's more mature, which I think compliments the themes in the books really well," the actress explained. "The book is much darker than the first book."

Meanwhile, Movie Pilot published 10 facts about "Insurgent" actor Theo James that casual fans might not know about.

For one thing, his real name is Theodore Peter James Kinnaird Taptiklis, which is derived from his Greek grandpa.

"He's a musician. Theo was a singer and guitarist in a London band called Shere Khan," it said. "The boy can beat box! During a Divergent event in Atlanta, he showed off his skills on the mic for the crowd."

"He's well educated. He actually became an actor by accident. After graduating from the University of Nottingham with a degree in philosophy, his girlfriend at the time planned to audition for drama school, so he tried out too," the article noted.
