'The Mentalist' Star Simon Baker Enjoys Down Time After Series' Finale; Actor Grows Beards, Shows Off Toned Body

After the finale of "The Mentalist," Simon Baker enjoyed down time as he hit the beach Down Under at the Sydney Palm Beach.

"Australia's most unassuming TV star looked to be in his ­element as he took on the metre-high waves before making his way up to the carpark to catch up with mates," said the Daily Telegraph.

According to the publication, Simon Baker just purchased an apartment in the area for $2.5 million where he and wife Rebecca Rigg, along with their three children, Stella, Claude and Harry, will be staying.

Ben Buckler is located near the famous Bondi Beach and has "become a prestige property hotspot in recent years," said the report.

Property agent Bethwyn Richards told the publication that Ben Buckler is a sought after location.

"When people come to Bondi they look down Campbell Parade and see the beach and that headland. It is magical place that is unique in Australia," she said.

After the final episode of "The Mentalist," Simon Baker said he will take some time off for a while.

"I'm looking forward to enjoying the simple things socially, actually reconnecting with friends and family that I've been a little bit out of the loop with for the last seven years," Simon Baker said. "I'd love to be the assistant coach of my kid's soccer team, and actually be able to go to practice or just go camping."

Talking about his wife, Rebecaa Rigg, Simon Baker said, "My wife is actually pretty romantic, she just won't allow herself to admit that she's romantic. You know, it's a sign of weakness for her. It's a very Australian female quality, I like it."

It's also safe to say that "The Mentalist" actor Simon Baker will travel a lot, now that he's schedule has freed up.

"Australians like to travel, we have this georgraphical chip on our shoulders for being so far away from the rest of the world that everyone travels. I'm an example of that as well," he said per Daily Maily.
