Chef Gordon Ramsay's Kids Uses Food As Alternative To Curse; 'Hell's Kitchen' Season 14 Returns To Bring Terror

Chef Gordon Ramsay said that unlike him, his kids do not curse, as 18 contestants will pit their skills against each other when "Hell's Kitchen" season 14 returns on Fox.

In an interview with the "Jimmy Kimmel Live," Michelin chef Gordon Ramsay said that his four kids , Megan, 16, Jack and Holly, the 15-year-old twins, and Matilda, 13, who also has her own cooking show, have better temperament that him.

"They don't curse," he told the host, per E!.

"How is that possible...is that their way of rebelling?" Jimmy Kimmel quipped.

"I said, 'Look, cursing is not smart, it's an industry language and sometimes Daddy lets it slip...20 times a day,'" Gordon Ramsay said about talking to his kids.

"So I came up with some really nice, sort of alternatives to curse words," Gordon Ramsay added. "So rather than saying the word 's--t,' which, you know, is not nice...'Shitake'! Like the mushroom. It's not nice saying the word 'f--k,' so we say the word 'fructose.' 'Ass?' 'Asparagus!'"

"Hell's Kitchen" season 14 host Gordon Ramsay, known for his rated R language on the reality show, told Jonathan Ross per Daily Mail that he never brings his work persona home.

"I like to think it's an industry language. I've worked with some great chefs, and when I've made a mistake there's a naughty word that comes out," he said. "But do I want Matilda and Jack [his children] walking around swearing? Definitely not."

The British restaurateur claimed that he and his wife are careful about swearing around children.

"Some people think it's offensive, I'm not proud of it, I don't do it often," he said.

Meanwhile, chef Gordon Ramsay is back to host the 14th season of "Hell's Kitchen."

"After a brief history of the show, we're shown the new group of chefs. We see fighters, whiners, fire trucks and Ramsay in the dorms?" Buddy TV said. "Arriving at the restaurant, the chefs find the doors locked and Ramsay greets them from the roof. This year's Hell's Kitchen, he says, will be the most difficult ever."
