Nicki Minaj Positive Birdman, Lil Wayne's Feud To End Well; 'Anaconda' Singer Says 'They're Gonna Work This Out Like Family'

Nicki Minaj is optimistic that Lil Wayne and Birdman will eventually settle their feud because they are "like family" above all else.

In an interview with BBC Radio 1 to promote her new album "Pinkprint," Nicki Minaj said that it might not get to the point where Lil Wayne will take her and Drake off the label of Cash Money.

"I don't think it'll ever get to that point. People know that I love Wayne and I have loyalty towards him, but I love Baby too. I'm very close to Baby, and I don't think people know that," Nicki Minaj said.

"I am banking on the fact that they're gonna work this out like family. They've gone through things before just like family does and it is what it is. They gonna get through it. I'm not even gonna think that way," Nicki Minaj.

Forbes reported that Lil Wayne is seeking $51 million in damages from Birdman, while also attributing some "shady practices" to Cash Money.

Among the allegations resulting to Lil Wayne and Birdman feud were, "overspending Wayne's money on marketing on his Young Money imprint, somehow forgetting to register Wayne's name on some copyrights, not paying a promised $10 million advance, failing to pay required overhead and escrow dollars to Young Money, holding back the release of Wayne's new album, and tons more."

Part of the lawsuit says: "Cash Money breached the 1998 Recording Agreement as amended specifically by the 2012 Amendment, by failing to pay Carter the Eight Million Dollar ($8,000,000.00) payment upon commencement of the recording and paying Carter only Two Million Dollars ($2,000,000.00) over the course of the recording of Tha Carter V."

In an earlier interview with DJ Whoo Kid on Shade 45, Nicki Minaj is staying out of the controversy but still hopeful that Lil Wayne and Birdman can settle their feud.

"I know that Wayne and Baby love each other, and I know they're going to resolve anything that needs to be resolved. I am Young Money. I ride with Wayne on whatever - that's just how I am. But Baby has played such a huge role in my mental stability," Nicki Minaj added.
