‘Beauty And The Beast’ Actress Emma Watson Talks ‘Awkward And Uncomfortable’ Date, Does She Have A New Boyfriend?

During an interview with Facebook promoting her HeForShe campagin, "Beauty and the Beast" actress Emma Watson recently described an "awkward and uncomfortable" date. Who is the mysterious man she took out on a first date? Is he Emma Watson's new boyfriend?

On Sunday, Facebook asked Emma Watson if you can be a feminist and still let the man pay for dinner.

"I actually took a man out for dinner recently," the "Beauty and the Beast" actress revealed. "I chose the restaurant and I offered to pay and it was really awkward and uncomfortable," she added, laughing.

"But the cool thing about it was we were both willing to have the conversation about why it was awkward," she said.

She gave an example of the dinner conversation: "I chose the restaurant this time because it's my favorite restaurant, you can choose and pay next time. Or you can split it, or whatever! Whatever makes you both comfortable."

"Chivalry should be consensual," Watson continued. "It's a problem when people expect things to be a certain way to follow a certain status quo."

"We're in transition right now," she concluded, "and everyone doesn't really feel like they know what to do - but it's OK. Just be willing to have that awkward conversation. It does come out OK in the end."

We're glad the date ended out "OK"! But we can't help wondering - who was the mystery man she took out?

Emma Watson shut down rumors that she and Prince Harry were dating, with a quippy Twitter post:

Meanwhile, Watson is set to play Belle in the upcoming live-action "Beauty and the Beast," joined by former "Downton Abbey star" Dan Stevens as The Beast and Luke Evans, set to play the villainous Gaston.
