Jennette McCurdy Downplays Feud With Ariana Grande; 'iCarly' Star Heads To Netflix For New Thriller 'Between'

Former Nickelodeon star Jennette McCurdy is heading to Netflix for a new thriller titled "Between," as she downplayed the rumored feud with "Problem" singer Ariana Grande.

According to TV Guide, the new thriller starring Jennette McCurdy is different in the sense that it's going to be aired one episode per week instead of the usual format of releasing the whole season all at once.

"'Between' is a six-part drama about a mysterious virus that kills everyone over 21 years old in the town of Pretty Lake," it said.

Jennette McCurdy plays Wiley who is expecting a child while still a teenager.

The 22-year-old actress previously got involved in a bit of a scandal when racy photos of her were leaked online. Rumors alleged that it was the reason why her Nickelodeon show, "Sam & Cat," was axed. It was also reported that Jennette McCurdy feuded with Ariana Grande because the latter was making more money than her.

But Jennette McCurdy claimed in an interview with E! News that there's no feud with Ariana Grande.

"I just feel that, you know Ariana and I were and are extremely close and very like-minded in a lot of different ways and then, sorta as the show dissolved, everybody wanted to find some sort of hidden meaning in our relationship," the former "iCarly" star said.

"Some like drama and I think we butted heads at times but in a very sisterly way. She knows me so well and I know her so well that I think it was unfortunate that things kind of got misconstrued," the actress added.

Jennette McCurdy said she was spending hours on the set od "Sam & Cat" with Ariana Grande and Miranda Cosgrove while filming episodes, so it's natural that they would have their fights.

"But you bond so much and you're so close that you can't go through that experience and...I can't imagine a world where you would not come out extreme friends," she said.

In a Twitter post April of last year, Jennette McCurdy already addressed the rumored Ariana Grande feud after she skipped the Kids' Choice Awards.

"I was put in an uncomfortable, compromising, unfair situation (many of you have guessed what it is) and I had to look out for me. I chose to not go because sticking up for what is right and what is fair is what my mom taught me is ALWAYS the most important thing," she wrote.
