'Fashion Police' Ex Host Kelly Osbourne Speaks Up About Leaving Show; Untimely Exit Followed Giuliana Rancic And Zendaya Coleman Issue
"Fashion Police" ex host Kelly Osbourne has spoken up about her recent decision to leave the hit E! series, said a report from People. Her untimely exit made news last week, since it came after co-host Giuliana Rancic made controversial comments about Kelly Osbourne's friend, Zendaya Coleman.
The 30 year old daughter of rock icon Ozzy Osbourne spoke about her departure for the first time during her guest appearance at daytime talk show "The Talk." Her mom, Sharon Osbourne, was also present during the episode that was aired last Tuesday.
"You know what? It was the five best working years of my life," Kelly Osbourne said about being part of "Fashion Police."
"I am so grateful for the experience. Working with Joan Rivers for five years was incredible."
"I learned so much and ... I'm excited for my future now. I want to try a new thing," added the former "Fashion Police" host.
E! confirmed last week that Kelly Osbourne has decided to leave the hit fashion-critique show.
"Kelly Osbourne is departing E!'s Fashion Police to pursue other opportunities," said the official statement from E! Network that was published by Hollywood Reporter.
"We would like to thank her for her many contributions to the series over the past five years, during which time the show became a hit with viewers."
"Fashion Police" recently made news after mainstay Giuliana Rancic made controversial statements about 18-year-old singer and actress Zendaya Coleman.
A friend of Kelly Osbourne, the teen star donned dreadlocks during the formal event, causing Giuliana Rancic to scoff that she "must have smelled like patchouli oil or weed".
The seemingly racist comments made by the statuesque "Fashion Police" host were quickly slammed by viewers. Fans proceeded to criticize Giuliana Rancic and the show itself, causing Kelly Osbourne to vent her frustration on Twitter.
"I DID NOT MAKE THE WEED COMENT. I DO NOT CONDONE RACISM SO AS A RSULT OF THIS IM SEREIOULSY QUESTIONONIG STAYING ON THE SHOW," Kelly Osbourne posted.
