Joan Rivers News: ‘Real Housewives Of Atlanta’ Cast Member Nene Leakes Compares Herself To Iconic 'Fashion Police' Host

Joan Rivers news reported how "Real Housewives of Atlanta" cast member Nene Leakes compared herself to the iconic "Fashion Police" host.

According to TMZ, the outspoken reality star was asked by reporters last Monday if E! should hire her. The question was raised since Nene Leakes is reportedly among those who are being considered to replace former "Fashion Police" host Kelly Osbourne, who quit the hit series last week. She was also rumored to replace Joan Rivers after the comedienne's death made news September of last year.

Nene Leakes responded that she should get a slot in "Fashion Police" and pointed out that she is a lot like Joan Rivers.

"I'm fashionable, and I keep it real like Joan," Nene Leakes said.

"I keep it real and tell it like it is and I love her."

According to Daily Mail, Nene Leakes first appeared in "Fashion Police" last 2013. After comparing herself to Joan Rivers, news articles began receiving mixed comments.

Several readers said that the statuesque reality star does not have any right to compare herself to Joan Rivers, nor be part of the popular fashion-critique show.

However, a few comments still showed support for Nene Leakes.

"Joan loved Nene & would approve of her as a replacement for Kelly," commented a certain LanieLou.

According to recent report from Us Magazine, Nene Leakes is among those who are being considered to replace former "Fashion Police" host Kelly Osbourne.

Other alleged contenders include "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star Khloe Kardashian, former "Glee" star Naya Rivera, internet sensation Amber Rose, and model Chrissy Tiegen.

Prior to the post left by Kelly Osbourne, Nene Leakes was also allegedly considered to replace late host Joan Rivers last September 2014.

Perez Hilton previously reported that Nene Leakes allegedly tried "swaying producers to choose her" to fill in for Joan Rivers.

Joan Rivers' vacated post was eventually filled in by her protégé, comic Kathy Griffin.
