'The Flash' And 'Arrow' Crossover: Reverse Flash Gets Cornered By Superheros; Barry Allen To Finally Know About Dr. Wells' Involvement In His Mother's Death?

"The Flash" and "Arrow" crossover spoilers show Barry Allen teaming up with Oliver Queen to take down the nemesis who reportedly killed his mother, the Reverse Flash.

"The scenes show an intense stand-off as an unmasked Grant Gustin is flanked by his fellow superheroes, played by real life cousins Stephen and Robbie Amell," said Daily Mail.

Reverse Flash is played by Tom Cavanagh, who pretended to be paralyzed Dr. Harrison Wells. Fans only knew of his real identity and his motivations recently.

"But the extent of his deception only came to light in the recent episode 15 when he admits he is only mentoring The Flash so he can utilize his powers to return to his own timeline, after getting trapped here," it said.

Photos from the set of "The Flash and "Arrow" crossover were published by the British publication; one of the set photos shows Barry Allen, Oliver Queen and Ronnie Raymond. But the spoilers reveal that comic book fans might either be disappointed or thrilled by the episode.

In an interview with Comic Book Resources during the Paleyfest, Grant Gustin claimed that the Reverse Flash and Flash story arc will deviate from the comics a bit.

"There's a twist with Harrison Wells and the Reverse-Flash storyline that no journalist has guessed -- I've never seen it online. It's going to I think really surprise everyone. And it's an original twist to the character that doesn't mess up the mythology," he said.

Aside from Reverse Flash, Barry Allen will also deal with a host of other villains like the Golden Glider, Captain Cold, Heat Wave, Grood and the Trickster, played by Mark Hammill.

"I keep saying Barry has to get better at lying once he discovers more of the truth about Wells," Grant Gustin added.

"Because he's got to face this brilliant person he's always looked up to, and he's got to not reveal that he knows the truth when he's with him. So that changes things -- that's a big dynamic change for Barry, obviously."

Watch out for more spoilers in the "Arrow" and "The Flash" crossover which will be published here as they come along.
