'Fashion Police' News: Remaining Host Giuliana Rancic Unsure About Returning After Show’s Hiatus; Blames Editing For Zendaya Coleman Issue

Fashion Police news reported how remaining host Giuliana Rancic seems unsure if she would still return after the show's five-month hiatus. According to a report from TV Line, the E! mainstay also blamed the editing of the controversial episode where she made comments about teen star Zendaya Coleman.

The statuesque "Fashion Police" host made news during their Oscars red carpet review earlier this year, wherein she dissed Zendaya Coleman for wearing dreadlocks at the formal event.

The mainstay eventually issued an apology about the controversy, particularly with how she said the "KC Undercover" star probably smelled like weed or patchouli oil during the event.

"I made a reference to the hippie culture. I talked about patchouli oil, which is a hippie perfume," Giuliana Rancic explained when she guested at the Today show on Monday.

"In the editing process, some of the gestures I made, some of the things I said were taken out for time. I made peace signs, I said 'bohemian' twice - those were taken out for time."

"So when the joke aired, some people were offended by it," she pointed out.

The "E! News" host also shared how she wanted to defend herself following the backlash from her alleged "racist" comments.

"I thought that the joke was not edited in the proper way, and that's just something I have to live with," Giuliana Rancic said.

"It's very important for me to just get out there and tell the real story, and I knew I would have my moment. But those darn headlines were so crazy for so long that I thought, 'Let everything calm down, and then I can come out and tell the real story.'"

Soon after the Zendaya Coleman controversy, "Fashion Police" made news when hosts Kelly Osbourne and Kathy Griffin quit the series. The latter joined the show following Joan Rivers' death last September 2014.

Giuliana Rancic was asked if she will still be part of the series after it returns from a five-month hiatus on September.

"We'll see," she replied.
