George R.R. Martin Treats Fans With Spoilers Ahead Of 'Winds Of Winter' Release Date

George R. R. Martin teased spoilers for "Winds of Winter" by releasing a chapter on Sansa Stark, now Alayne, ahead of the release date, which has yet to be announced.

According to Melty, the spoilers are the first time fans have heard Sansa's voice sine the novel, "A Feast of Crows."

"It begins with Sansa reading to her cousin Robin 'Sweetrobin' Arryn. The use of the nickname 'Sweetrobin' is unclear, as most viewers can agree that Robin is a bit cuckoo in the television series," the article quipped.

"The chapter displays Robin's petulance and a gracious Sansa soothing the little lord. To find out more about what's going on with her during her time in the Vale."

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, George R. R. Martin revealed that he's rushing to finish to give way to "Winds of Winter" release date before the season 6 of "Game of Thrones."

"I wish it was out now. Maybe I'm being overly optimistic about how quickly I can finish. But I canceled two convention appearances, I'm turning down a lot more interviews-anything I can do to clear my decks and get this done," he said.

The Concourse revealed that the storyline of "Game of Thrones" is set to surpass events of the "A Song of Fire and Ice" novels.

"The sixth book in the series, 'The Winds of Winter,' remains trapped mysteriously beyond the wall thanks to George R.R. Martin's trudging writing pace, much like Benjen Stark himself (maybe?)," it said.

"Sure, there's some existing material left to mine, but as we readers know, a lot of what remains of the written world involves a fair amount of wheel-spinning from characters we're all familiar with and the largely unnecessary introductions of characters who seem unlikely to live a televised life."

George R.R. Martin has yet to announce the "Winds of Winter" release date.
