‘The Vampire Diaries’ Cast Nina Dobrev Films Last Scene With Matt Davis; Ian Somerhalder Says He’s Not The Reason Why Ex-Gilfriend Is Quitting

"The Vampire Diaries" cast Nina Dobrev proved that her decision to quit the show is indeed final as she recently shared a photo while she's filming her last scene with Matt Davis' character Alaric.

It can be remembered that Elena (Dobrev's character) and Alaric shared a meaningful relationship in the series after the latter became a father figure for Elena and her brother Jeremy.

Apart from the photo, "The Vampire Diaries" cast Nina Dobrev also posted a video of her taking delight over the Coachella music festival.

In the video, the Canadian beauty is wearing a flower crown while dancing. Her fun was interrupted when a crew member called her to get back to work.

Nina Dobrev then said, "Nochella."

Many were stunned when "The Vampire Diaries" cast Nina Dobrev announced her decision to quit the show. Many wondered if it was because of Ian Somerhalder.

Ever since Ian Somerhalder proposed to "Twilight" actress Nikki Reed, many speculated that Nina Dobrev felt uncomfortable to film intimate scenes with her ex.

However, the "Lost" actor clarified that he's not the reason why the brunette beauty is quitting.

On his Twitter, Ian Somerhalder praised E! Online's article about Nina Dobrev's departure. In the article, several reasons were cited for his ex-girlfriend's decision and none of them included the actor.

The "Let's Be Cops" actress previously refuted the news of her feeling awkward when Ian Somerhalder is around.

"If you're with someone for that long, obviously, there's the qualities in them that you enjoy, and it doesn't change because you're not together anymore," Dobrev told E! News.

"I have an enormous amount of respect and love for him and everyone. It doesn't change. It shouldn't. Otherwise, why were you with them?"

Nina Dobrev reportedly wants to concentrate on making movies. She promised fans that there would be an exciting exit for Elena.

Earlier this season, Steven McQueen also left the series leaving Elena as the sole representation of the Gilbert family in the show.
