Zac Efron's Girlfriend Sami Miro Proudly Stands Beside Her Man In Instagram Snap; 'Neighbors' Actor Wins Big In 2015 MTV Movie Awards

Sami Miro played supportive girlfriend to Zac Efron as she showed off her fashion flair at the 2015 MTV Movie Awards in Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday. And her support paid off as the "Neighbors" actor won big at the ceremony.

The model shared on Instagram a backstage photo of her and boyfriend Zac Efron while waiting to take the seat at the Nokia Threatre.

"Sami was undoubtedly proud of her man, who took home a Golden Popcorn for Best Shirtless Scene and another for Best Duo with Dave Franco," E! News reported.

Zac Efron walked up the stage dressed as Robert de Niro in the iconic film "Taxi Driver," complete with a fake Mohawk, Ray-bans and the green jacket. Dave Franco, meanwhile, dressed as the older De Niro in the comedy, "Meet the Fockers."

"The Neighbors duo even had a hilarious moment on stage during their acceptance speech when they grabbed each other's crotches," said Daily Mail.

"Earlier in the bash, Zac presented an award - fully clothed - with his We Are Your Friends co-star Emily Ratajkowski," it added.

In an interview with Elle, Sami Miro talked about her relationship with Zac Efron.

"It kind of just comes with the territory, and I know there's no really changing that, so you have to just embrace it," she said. "I'm not trying to hide anything in my life."

"If I was dating someone who wasn't in the limelight, I might have more photos on [Instagram] of our relationship, but I do think it's important. I mean, it's what is going on in my life, and I think that my social media can still represent that."

Sami Miro and Zac Efron were first reported to be dating in October 2014 when the former "High School Musical" actor split with "The Fast & the Furious 7" actress Michelle Rodriguez.
