Ciara And Ex-Fiance Future In Good Terms; 'Body Party' Singer And Rapper Focusing On Their Son Following Nasty Breakup

Ciara and her ex-fiance Future are reportedly in good terms, said a report from E!Online. The "Body Party" singer and the rapper are said to be focusing on their son following their nasty breakup last year.

The 29-year-old R&B diva shared during an interview with the Breakfast Club how she does not regret anything about dating Future.

"It clearly didn't work out, but I have the greatest gift, the greatest joy of my life is my son," Ciara said.

"Honestly, I feel like everything in life happens for a reason and my son has been the greatest gift that God has given me in my life and been the most game-changing thing that's happened to my life, in a necessary way."

However, the details behind the breakup of Ciara and her ex-fiance were not revealed.

"I can't really break all that down because I don't even think it really matters to tell you the truth. Especially when the ending is great as it is with my son," Ciara explained.

"That's what worked out, my son."

The Grammy-nominated singer simply shared how she tries to stay on good terms with the "Just Like Bruddas" rapper.

"We're cool. We have a child together and as a parent it's important to be able to communicate. We don't talk every day, there's no need to. But my son is clearly the connection between he and I and as parents I think it's important to be able to communicate," Ciara said.

"I like to stay happy and I like to live life light and make the best of life. And I think that when you carry a certain kind of energy, if you have like a funky energy that you hold within yourself, you just can't grow."

Ciara and her ex-fiance parted ways last year after Future allegedly cheated on Ciara with numerous women. However, Ciara reportedly does not want to recall their tumulus relationship and how it ended, and would rather focus on their son.

"You live and you learn. My son has given me so much clarity. Now I'm like a full-on woman," she said.

"You don't really understand what that means until a few things happen to you in life, but my son has totally given me so much clarity and I couldn't be more clear than I've needed to be."
