After "The Vampire Diaries" star Nina Dobrev confirmed that she is quitting the hit show, the actress is reportedly now ready to take on more sexy and daring roles. Meanwhile, she shared a behind-the-scenes Instagram photo of her with ex-boyfriend Ian Somerhalder that she accompanied with a sweet caption.

The 26-year-old Canadian-Bulgarian actress, who recently said that she is leaving the show as Elena Gilbert, is now rumored to be taking the next big step in her career even if she goes topless.

According to a source of Hollywood Life, Nina Dobrev, who broke-up with co-star Ian Somerhalder in 2013, wanted to veer away from her image for the past six years.

"To make a mark, Nina wants to get into movies but she is also seeing the power that TV has with shows like True Detective and she wants to do something serious with a big cast to show that she can handle doing more than just The Vampire Diaries," the insider told.

The source added that Nina Dobrev knows that she has to show some skin to "get to the next level so if the part is right she will go topless in a heartbeat."

The insider added, "She has already accepted the fact that it might be needed to gobare for her next move to get a real juicy role from another actress."

Meanwhile, Nina Dobrev finished taping for her last scenes for "The Vampire Diaries" together with Ian Somerhalder.

Despite recent issues that Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder are not in good terms following "The Anomaly" actor's engagement with new flame Nikki Reed, the "Perks of Being a Wallflower" actress still got to post a sweet caption for her ex-beau.

In her Instagram photo, which showed the former couple in a seemingly dark place. Nina Dobrev said, "Behind the scenes - shooting a Damon&Elena scene w Smolderhalder aka @IanSomerhalder."

Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder met in the set of "The Vampire Diaries" and had been in a relationship for years. In 2013, they announced their break-up following rumors that the actor wanted to settle down but the actress was not yet ready.

Also leaving "The Vampire Diaries" show is Michael Trevino who posted Instagram photos of his last shooting days, Just Jared said in a report.
