George Clooney Gushes About Wife Amal In New Interview, Read The Details Here!

George Clooney recently opened up to Entertainment Tonight about his eight month marriage to Amal Clooney.

After appearing together at the Met Gala in New York, the actor sat down for an interview to promote his new movie, Disney's "Tomorrowland." But the actor also spoke at length about his wife and their marriedlife.

"She's an amazing human being," the actor shared. "And she's caring. And she also happens to be one of the smartest people I've ever met. And she's got a great sense of humor."

The 54-year-old also said that as husband and wife, they share a common passion for international affairs. Currently, Amal is working on behalf of Armenia in their case against Dogu Pernicek, who is the leader of the Turkish Worker's Party. The barrister is also involved in the work to help bring back the Parthenon Marbles to its home in Greece from the British Museum in London.

"I'm always very proud of her when I see her speaking at the International Court of Appeals in Strasbourg, you know, with her robe on," the actor gushed. "It's very impressive."

And even if his wife is a human rights lawyer who is busy with her work in international cases, Clooney revealed that she is still able to keep up with fashion. "She [stays attuned to fashion] while she's got 11 cases she's working on, and she was teaching at Columbia, and she's still like, 'I want to wear that dress,'" the "Tomorrowland" actor said.

As for his contribution to the marriage, the actor joked that he influenced her to get into sports.

"I watch sports and it kills her because I got her into March Madness a little," he explained. "She got into that, but it was enough, so the next week was the Masters, and I'm watching that and she goes, 'So every weekend we're gonna be watching a sporting event.'"

"I'm like, 'Actually, that's how it works,'"Clooney quipped.
