Gal Gadot's 'Wonder Woman' A Spin-Off Of 'Batman V Superman?' Second Trailer Of Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck Starrer May Feature Her Character

Gal Gadot's solo outing as "Wonder Woman" might not be a sure thing, even if it's only a spinoff. Meanwhile, speculations claim that her first appearance in "Batman V Superman" will be shown in the trailer to be released in July.

According to Sean Erickson of Movie Pilot, studios are thinking twice before releasing another female superhero movie given the history of the genre.

"One thing worth noting is that the most recent female superhero movies have all be spin-offs of big grossing male superhero movies: Daredevil's Elektra and Batman's Catwoman being the last two examples," he wrote.

"Unfortunately the stigma of the box office bombs of 2005's Elektra and 2004's Catwoman were still in the air and no one wanted to risk the money on a Wonder Woman movie that has all the epic scale of Joss Whedon's Avengers, complete with a giant, fire breathing 'Khimaera' causing mass destruction," the article noted.

Gal Gadot will be introduced as "Wonder Woman" in "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" but the first trailer that Zack Snyder dropped only focused on the Man of Steel and the Dark Knight.

"The studio and director Zack Snyder treated the fans by unveiling a teaser of the film at the event. Maybe this time around, Snyder will reveal a second trailer featuring a glimpse of Wonder Woman, Cyborg and Aquaman? Wishful thinking, but you never know," said IB Times.

"Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" will be released on March 25, 2016. Aside from Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill will also reprise his role as Superman and Amy Adams will reprise her role as Lois Lane. Gal Gadot and Jason Momoa will be introduced as Wonder Woman and Aquaman, respectively.

"Social Network" actor Jesse Eisenberg will play Lex Luthor while Ray Fisher is Cyborg.
