Miranda Lambert Claims Country Life With Blake Shelton Is Peaceful; Singer Not Affected Being Apart From 'The Voice' Coach?

Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton are living two hours away from any major city, but the couple likes it that way.

The 31-year-old country singer graces the covers of Good Country Living and she claimed that country life "has been in my blood since birth."

"Even now, my husband Blake and I live in Tishomingo, Oklahoma, which is roughly two hours from any major city. There's just a peace that comes with country life," Miranda Lambert said.

Although she grew up in the farm and has been trying to follow her dad's advice to live off the land, "Blake is really the gardener. This year, we're planting tomatoes and strawberries to make jam. I have a little downtime this summer, so I'm looking forward to this task."

"The Voice" coach Blake Shelton and the multi-awarded country singer Miranda Lambert have been hounded by divorce rumors for months now.

Between his commitment in the singing contest and her tours, they hardly find time for each other, but Miranda Lambert claimed that it only drew them closer.

"There's something good about being apart sometimes. I feel like you have to get to know each other on a different level," she said. "You have to talk on the phone and text each other and be intimate, but rely on them in a different way. It works, if you're up for it. It's not for everybody."

"It's interesting being married to an artist because we have two ways of doing everything, him and I," Miranda Lambert said of Blake Shelton. "From our management and fans, from the way we write to the songs we pick -- but it's fun to watch because both ways work. ... "

"I don't know what's the best way to get there, but I know it's a lot of work and you have to be willing to put it in."
