Michelle Obama’s Sleeveless Dress by Jason Wu [PHOTO]

First lady Michelle Obama selected a piece by Jason Wu once again for Tuesday's State of the Union address.

The wine-colored sleeveless A-line dress with black collar and Alexis Bittar floral brooch, this is the third time Michelle Obama chosen the designer for a special occasion.

She was 29 years old when Michelle Obama selected Jason Wu to make her debut as First Lady in 2009. Next was when President Obama was sworn into office this past month.

The dress that Michelle Obama chose is receiving mixed review as some thought it was more fitting for a cocktail party rather than the State of the Union.

Comedian Abbi Crutchfield tweeted, "Michelle Obama [is] dressed for where she'd rather be tonight #SOTU."

"Michelle Obama is in a stunning dress but appears ready for a cocktail party rather than a speech," added Carol Joynt, Editor at Large for The Washingtonian.

The original dress of the photo reveals that the dress was altered to be more reserved. For Michelle Obama's piece Wu covered the bodice and lengthened the dress.
