Cara Delevingne and ex-girlfriend Michelle Rodriguez almost had an awkward situation when they nearly bumped into each other at the recent Cannes Film Festival. Despite knowing that she might meet the "Furious 7" star there, the "Paper Towns" actress still went with new beau St. Vincent in tow.

The 22-year-old British supermodel and the "Resident Evil" actress both attended the Cannes Film Festival last week and almost had a close encounter, Independent said in a report.

Cara Delevingne and new girlfriend St. Vincent, real name Anne Clark, arrived even before Michelle Rodriguez entered the red carpet.

They also made their exit even before Michelle Rodriguez caught a glimpse of the "Face of an Angel" actress and the American rock star.

A source from British magazine Graiza told, "It was definitely a tricky situation. Organizers knew the day before that all three were attending and worked hard to ensure they all arrived separately.

"They were told that the two camps must not under any circumstances turn up at the same time and that they needed to be seated away from one another," the insider also added.

Cara Delevingne and ex-girlfriend Michelle Rodriguez were an item last year.

The two made it to the headlines after they appeared at the sidelines of an NBA game, where they were seen making out and getting intimate with each other.
