John Mayer Convinced Katy Perry To Skip Billboard Awards? On-Again Couple Bonds By Making Music Featuring Taylor Swift's 'Dirt'

"Your Body is a Wonderland" hitmaker John Mayer apparently convinced on-again girlfriend Katy Perry to skip the Billboard Music Awards, where Taylor Swift dominated by winning eight trophies, so the "Roar" won't be put in an awkward situation.

A source told Heat magazine, "John convinced her it was a bad idea. Katy realized she couldn't stand the idea of the cameras being on her face as she had to watch Taylor win every award with all her friends applauding her."

During the 2015 Grammy Awards, the feuding Katy Perry and Taylor Swift avoided each other with a lot of help from the organizers, said Hollywood Life.

"Word was that Taylor Swift was meant to show up, and Katy left before any of that could happen," the source told the website. "Taylor didn't show because rumors were that she knew Katy was there, and Katy left thinking Taylor was going to show, so they definitely made an effort to avoid each other."

Taylor Swift and Katy Perry have been feuding in social media for the past few months. The "Fireworks" singer's boyfriend John Mayer also reportedly took a shot at the "Bad Blood" singer.

John Mayer and Katy Perry are reportedly working on a song that will allegedly expose Taylor Swift's "dirt."

"Katy thinks revenge is a dish best served cold. She's even more determined to show people what she calls 'the real Taylor' - she's writing some big, anthemic-type songs that'll feature dirt on Taylor that John's told her from when they used to date," Daily Mirror said.

Meanwhile, Taylor Swift's BFFs Elle Goulding and Lorde hung out with Katy Perry despite the "Bad Blood" singer's alleged feud with the "Fireworks" hitmaker.

"It's believed that Taylor wrote 'Bad Blood' about Katy - which means two of Taylor Swift's besties (one of which was actually in the "Bad Blood" video - we're looking at you Ellie) were hanging out with her rumored enemy," Seventeen magazine said.
