Nick Viall has one edge over the other contestants in "The Bachelorette" as he was already exchanging text messages to Kaitlyn Bristowe even before she came on board the reality show.

According to US Weekly magazine, per Hollywood Life, the text messages "bordered on explicit."

Kaitlny Bristowe and Nick Viall apparently have been communicating since January this year when he saw her on "The Bachelor" as one of the contestants vying for Chris Soules' nod. Apparently, he developed a crush on her.

"They weren't texting like, 'Hey, I want to get to know you.' It was heavy, heavy, heavy flirtation. Kaitlyn found him charming," the source added. "When he first described Kaitlyn to me, he spent under 30 seconds describing her appearance, and about 10 beers worth of time talking about her personality, their connection and how happy he was to have that type of relationship in his life."

E! News confirmed that Nick Viall and Kaitlyn Bristowe's friendship dates back a few months.

"While the duo had never met in-person prior to him showing up during filming of the ABC hit, they established "a friendship based on a mutual, unusual experience" over social media," it said.

A source claimed, "Nick saw Kaitlyn on The Bachelor and really enjoyed her. He liked how she just put everything out there."

On Kaitlyn Bristowe joining "The Bachelorette," the source said of Nick Viall, "He never asked her not to do it but by the time she was one of two front-runners, they were speaking on a very frequent basis."

Apparently, he couldn't be denied.

"He decided he wanted to do the show and pursue her. His attitude was, you only have one life. But he weighed the decision seriously. There was a lot of deliberating. If she had started to develop feelings for someone else, he didn't want to ruin it for her. He genuinely cares for her and wants her to be happy," the insider added.

While the other contestants might complain about Nick Viall's unfair advantage over the affections of Kaitlyn Bristowe, this is "The Bachelorette," which thrives on shocking twists after all, and anything can happen.
