Christina Milian And Lil Wayne Slammed By ‘Lollipop’ Rapper’s Ex-Girlfriend; Karrine Steffans Blames ‘Rebel’ Diva For Former Beau’s Dwindling Career
Christina Milian and Lil Wayne were slammed by the "Lollipop" rapper's ex-girlfriend. According to a report from Design and Trend, Karrine Steffans blamed the "Rebel" diva for her former beau's dwindling career.
During a guest appearance at Hot 97's "Ebro in the Morning" show, the 36-year-old former video model dissed Christina Milian and Lil Wayne, starting with their performance at the American Music Awards.
"I haven't hit that since him and Christina did that really horrible ... They had that 'Start a Fire' thing and it was so bad, and I think he kind of felt kind of low about that," said Karrine Steffans.
She also pointed out how the Young Money star's career has been on a low point ever since Christina Milian and Lil Wayne started dating. She then accused the R&B songstress of not inspiring the dreadlocked rapper, compared to when she was still Lil Wayne's girlfriend.
"As an artist and someone who has to create something out of nothing, I think it's important that we pair ourselves with the right people," she said.
"When I was with Wayne I wrote my best stuff. I felt like when he was with me he wrote his best stuff."
"When he was trying to figure out his new style, that singing thing he started doing, he was with me on the bus singing into a remote control," Karrine Steffans added.
Even though Christina Milian has admitted to dating Lil Wayne, Karrine Steffans confessed that she still considers the rapper special.
"I miss who we were at that time and my love for him," she said. "I love him sincerely."
All Hip Hop recently reported how Christina Milian is flaunting her relationship with Lil Wayne amid all the criticisms around them.
The single mom even went as far as getting a tattoo that read "Love Hard TNT." TNT supposedly means "Tina N' Tunechi," which are Christina Milian and Lil Wayne's nicknames for each other.
"You can make special guesses...of what it means," Christina Milian teased about her Lil Wayne tattoo.
