Free Crib to Babies Born in 9 Months from IKEA in Australia

IKEA Australia announced Thursday that they will give away a free crib to any parents whose child will be born in the next nine months from now, on November 14.

The company reported if a baby in Australia was conceived on Valentine's Day 2013, they are eligible to receive the gift from the retailer in that country. The parents will receive a coupon for a crib valued at around $99.

However this sparked a controversy, since conceiving your child on or around Valentine's Day doesn't necessarily mean you'll be guaranteed a November 14 due date. The couple is only redeemable for a child that is born on the date specified by IKEA.

The advertisement reads, "To celebrate Valentine's Day, IKEA is offering parents-to-be a free cot if your baby is born on November 14, 2013. Limit one cot per baby. Proof of birth must be provided. Voucher must be presented to redeem offer. Delivery not included."

If anyone finds out they are expecting several kids in nine month then they might want to start setting aside a few extra coupons. Since IKEA is only offering one crib per child, addition vouchers will be necessary for parents who are expecting twins, triplets and so forth.
