Kylie Jenner Criticized For Instagram Endorsement; ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ Star Tries To Promote Cocoa Brown Tan
Kylie Jenner was criticized for her Instagram endorsement of a self-tanning product. According to a report from Huffington Post, the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star tried to promote Cocoa Brown Tan with a mediocre photo.
An image was uploaded by Kylie Jenner via Instagram to endorse Cocoa Brown Tan. However, her 25.8 million followers noticed that her skin looked streaky and blotchy in the snapshot.
"Love my @cocoabrowntan from @marissacarter when I want a fast tan #SelfTan #CocoaBrown #1HourTan," Kylie Jenner wrote on her Instagram post uploaded last June 7.
Nonetheless, Kylie Jenner's Instagram post for Cocoa Brown Tan received more than a million likes. Aside from the tanning product, the 17-year-old also uses social media to endorse Sparkling Whiteners, iPhone Camera Remote and even an anti-wrinkle cosmetic.
Apart from the products that she has been promoting, Kylie Jenner's Instagram page has made news since she changed her name.
According to Hollywood Life, the reality star dropped "Kylizzie" and started using "King Kylie" for her profile earlier this month. The name change supposedly showed that she is close to the two-year-old son of her boyfriend Tyga, who is named King Cairo.
"It's a tribute to Tyga's son, King," an insider explained.
"Kylie had a blast looking after him and chasing him around the basketball court at Tyga's game last weekend. She can't count the number of times she said 'King' at the game. 'Shoot the ball, King! You're so cute, King. You want to race me to half court, King.'"
"She had the time of her life with him and thinks he's just as cute as a button. So she decided to make that her name on Instagram for now. She's just showing the little guy some love," the insider said.
The source also pointed out how Kylie Jenner's Instagram name change was not meant to diss Blac Chyna, the ex-girlfriend of Tyga and King Cairo's mother.
"Kylie's issues with Blac Chyna are between the two of them. That precious little boy has absolutely nothing to do with their issues," the insider clarified.
