Alabama Shakes On SNL: Watch The Grammy Nominated Band's Electrifying Performance On Saturday Night Live Right Here [VIDEO]

The internet was buzzing about Alabama Snakes's performance on "Saturday Night Live" on February 16.

Actor Christopher Waltz, star of the new Quentin Tarantino film "Django Unchained" hosted the SNL episode, but it was Grammy nominated band The Alabama Snakes that people were talking about.

Performing two blistering tracks from their solo album "Boys & Girls," Alabama Shakes first played "Hold On" followed by the rockabilly-infused "Always Alright."

Formed in Athens, Alabama in 2009, The Alabama Shakes play a gospel-influenced, rootsy version of rock and roll that owes as much to Aretha Franklin as Zed Zeppelin.
