"Pirates of the Caribbean 5" actor Johnny Depp is virtually bribing his way into Amber Heard's heart in the wake of the divorce rumors surrounding their marriage, according to a new report.

A source told OK! Magazine that Johnny Depp has become so "desperate" that he's showering his wife with expensive gifts as well as a hefty allowance.

Apparently, Johnny Depp is "throwing a fortune at the gorgeous actress in an attempt to keep her happy!"

"And though Amber is successful in her own right and has several million to her name, she's a hoarder," the insider added.

Johnny Depp and Amber Heard tied the knot in February and the divorce rumors started immediately after the ceremony when the newlyweds were not photographed together. Even if the actor was in Australia filming "Pirates of the Caribbean 5" while the actress was in London for "The Danish Girl," it didn't stop the speculations.

"He will do anything to hold onto Amber and while a lot of people still think he's blinded by lust, he insists she's his soul mate, the girl of his dreams," the article claimed.

But love is not the only motivation for Johnny Depp into "bribing" Amber Heard because giving his wife money empowers him and apparently gives him more control, it added.

According to Celebrity Dirty Laundry, Johnny Depp allegedly has a drinking problem and it gets in the way of their marriage, which led to the divorce rumors.

Johnny Depp's "drinking problem has grown more and more severe over the past year, and Amber Heard threatening him is only making matters worse. If she truly wants her husband to get better, she needs to get him some professional help - not keep threatening him," it said.

OK! magazine also previously claimed that Amber Heard threatened Johnny Depp to sober up or face divorce.
