YG CEO Yang Hyun Suk Announces Disbandment of Su Pearls

It was revealed today through YG Entertainment that Su Pearls will be disbanding.

This group, which gained much attention on SBS "K-Pop Star" season 1, consisted of Park Ji Min, Lee Jung Mi, Lee Michelle and Lee Seung Joo.

They replaced Park Ji Min, who was scouted by JYP Entertainment, and put Lee Hi in her place.

However, today it was revealed that they have decided to disband the group and nullify the contract without any conditions.

Yang Hyun Suk revealed the reason for their disbandment, "It was our biggest hope to create another great vocal female group, but because all the members are so young and have a long way ahead of them and it seemed better for them to go on their separate ways."

He also added that Lee Hi is currently busy with her next solo album.

YG is also busy with upcoming comebacks from 2NE1, G-Dragon, Big Bang, Psy and more.

Yang Hyun Suk lastly added, "The level for singer's skills has been raised higher. Releasing an artist that is not ready can become a great fault and could be ignored by the public."
