Anna Kendrick Hesitant About Doing 'Pitch Perfect 3?' Elizabeth Banks Admits Movie In Early Stages Of Process

Elizabeth Banks has revealed that "Pitch Perfect 3" might be in the pipeline, even if main star Anna Kendrick remains hesitant to sign on for the third installment in the franchise.

"We're thinking about it, we're thinking about it very seriously," Elizabeth Banks told Access Hollywood. "Of course we're at the very beginning of that process."

"We would love to spend more time with these characters that everyone's fallen so hard in love with," she added.

"Pitch Perfect 2," according to Box Office Mojo, grossed $250,789,170 in the worldwide box office, which was quite a big leap from the first film which generated $115,000 worldwide.

Meanwhile, Ana Kendrick told TIME magazine that she's hesitant about doing "Pitch Perfect 3."

"I'm not one to count my chickens, so I just want to see how this one does and find out if there's an appetite for that before I even think about it," she said. "I'll drive myself crazy."

But that's not a new thing as she also thought twice about joining the "Pitch Perfect" sequel.

"I didn't know if they were just going to do a sloppy seconds version of it, and that was the thing that made me nervous. When I found out it was really going forward and it was going to be a real movie and everybody was coming back-there was no way I was going to miss out on that," Anna Kendrick said.

But all indications revealed that "Pitch Perfect 3" is a go with Universal and Gold Cannon already talking to Kay Cannon, who penned the first two movies.

"How a story would reunite the core Barden Bellas now that (spoiler alert) most have graduated college will be easier than making deals for such stars as Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson, who sources say were paid about $2 million each for Pitch 2, which cost $29 million to make," said The Hollywood Reporter.

In the original film, Rebel Wilson was only paid $100,000 while Anna Kendrick was paid "in the low-six figures."
