Britney Spears and Charlie Ebersol's split has been confirmed and fans have been having mixed feelings about it.

According to E! News, the "Pretty Girls" singer revealed her status in an Instagram post, as she uploaded a photo of her hugging a man that was not Ebersol. "So nice to be home. Nothing like Louisiana boys." she captioned the photo.

Spears and Ebersol have only been dating for less than eight months, but some fans are already affected with the news more than they should be. Some say that the separation between the two is something that is very heartbreaking and should not be considered a fling regardless of the time they've been together.

Rumors about the reason for Britney Spears and Charlie Ebersol's split also surfaced the internet. While there aren't any official statements released by both parties pertaining to the cause of their break up, some fans are speculating that it might have just been a simple case of incompatibility.
